The Idea Sessions are our primary gathering times for mutual engagement of ideas and potential partnerships. Our hope is that these will be workshops that actually do work. The basic idea and format of these Idea Sessions is as follows:
o Each Idea Session facilitator (see facilitator link) is there to facilitate a conversation about a particular thread of thought. In other words, they are not there to give a presentation.
o Each facilitator will only provide a short introduction of their background as it relates to the topic at hand. After the introduction, they will take questions or actual case scenarios from the group. In addition, content submitted via the session discussion forum (aka workshop tab) will also be included into the conversation if appropriate. Idea Session facilitators are there to assist people with ideas to move into implementation by connecting them to others in the room or in their network.
o Each session will be 75 minutes in length. This should provide ample opportunity to cover a handful of inquiries about a given theme. In addition, the facilitators have committed to meeting up during meals and breaks if need be with the participants to further conversation. We just ask that each participant pursuing further conversation to honor the time of the facilitator.
o The success of each Idea Session leans heavily upon each participant (YOU!). Therefore, be sure to participate and sharing your input without being too overbearing on any one issue. You know what we mean. ☺
